What if my plans change?

When you book a car through thinkrentalcars.com, you can make changes or cancel your booking for free at any point prior to 48 hours before you are scheduled to pick up the car.

At what age can I hire a car?

This depends on where you would like to hire a car. Though you can hire a car at the age of 18 in many European countries and the states of New York and Michigan in the United States, in many locations you must be 21 to hire a car. Note that most suppliers charge an additional Young Driver Fee for customers under the age of 25, though this age varies by supplier and location. If you enter your age before searching, we include this fee in the total allowing for the simplest comparison.

Can I hire a car without a credit card?

Though just a few years ago it was impossible to hire a car without a credit card, things have changed quickly. Many suppliers, especially global companies allow customers to both pay and leave a deposit with a debit card (though the card must be a Mastercard or Visa).
If you do not have a credit card, be sure to check the Payment Policy section of the Rental Conditions prior to booking to see if the supplier accepts debit cards.

Can I hire a car with either Limited or Unlimited mileage

We offer limited and unlimited mileage rentals.

Limited mileage rentals can often be less expensive than unlimited. When considering limited mileage rentals, the mileage allowance is always clearly displayed. If you decide to book a rental with limited mileage, you will be charged an additional fee if you go above the daily mileage allowance. The total mileage allowance for the whole rental is calculated as (the number of hire days multiplied by the daily allowance). You don't have to remain within the daily allowance on every day, provided that the total miles used during the rental doesn't go over the number of days X the daily limit.
